Job summary

The health data collection research assistant will work under the Cordaid PBF program supporting the end of program evaluation team with quantitative and qualitative data collection. The position is short term covering only the data collection period. Cordaid reserves the right to cancel the vacancy or not hire anyone for this position.

Specific Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Conduct FGDs at health facilities,
  • Conduct Key Informant interviews both at facility and woreda level,
  • Conduct chart audits at health facilities,
  • Conduct Exit interviews at health facilities,
  • Ensuring data completion and checking with supervisor for completion,
  • Taking verbatim notes for qualitative data to ensure gaps that might arise are addressed in case of technological failure,
  • Ensure the quality and integrity of data collected is of high standard,
  • Perform any other duties assigned

Job Requirements

Qualifications, Skills and Competencies

  1. Diploma/BSc in nursing. Qualification is midwifery is added advantage
  2. Working knowledge on maternal health in Ethiopia
  3. Knowledge on health indicators and terms used in health
  4. Ability to operate in English language: reading, writing, speaking and listening
  5. Ability to operate in local language Amharic: reading, writing, speaking and listening

Deliverables

  1. Electronic/Paper-based collected data;
  2. Interview recordings and notes;
  3. Data collection report;
  4. Any other tasks as may be assigned by the supervisor
